The only one of these that I've worked on for this image is the clematis (the largest one). In Topaz Adjust 5, I applied French Countryside and then Spicify effects. Back in Elements, on a separate Overlay 50% gray layer, I added a 150mm lens flare to the top left corner. After selecting the top part of the background and blurring it (Gaussian - is there any other kind?!), I tweaked it a bit with Levels. Oh yes, the collage was from the PET site and I added a reduced opacity shot of hosta to the background.
BTW, if anyone can identify the yellow flowers, top right, we'd love to know what they are.
Best viewed by clicking on it to see it with a black background - much nicer!
Colour and Aroma - Both.
ReplyDeleteLovely montage
ReplyDeleteWonderful page layout...and I love the 3D dimension this has! Beautiful blooms by the way!
ReplyDeleteLove your layout of these beautiful blooms.
ReplyDeletebeautiful clemantis,, beautiful flowers and one day I hope to understand the comment on all you have done to get the amazing end result, I like your presentation too
ReplyDeleteWhat a great composite! The flowers really pop off that nice paper.
ReplyDeleteThe yellow flowers might be leopard's bane (doronicum) It is an early bloomer though and the others look like later in the year. If the plant has big leaves and blooms later it might be a liguraria.
Thanks for the kind comments, Ellen, and for the flower info. They bloomed almost continually from Aug (when we moved into our new house) until October. Will continue the hunt for its correct name...
ReplyDeleteLovely presentation for your flowers....each one beautifully captured. Like how you used the plant for background...all made nicer by the fact that they are from your garden!
DeleteOn another note...google reader is not showing your latest post. And then even after I got to your blog it was two clicks before I found your most recent posts. May have mentioned this before...but then forgot about it.
Not sure what you mean by "Google reader", Helen.... Glad you got here eventually, though!
